This shot was inspired by a “stitched” photograph I had seen online by a photographer called Peter Hill; in his image the massive roots of a native (possibly Australian) tree snaked menacingly above the ground towards the viewer. But without travelling half way round the world, this was the best I could come up with in the circumstances; and was created by “stitching” three frames, in portrait orientation, to arrive at this single image. I’m rather chuffed * with the result!
On the Hermitage nature walk, near Dunkeld | Perthshire.

* Definition of chuffed:
Nothing to do with steam trains but a guid (good) Scots word meaning an expression of satisfaction with a job well done!
