I seem to have worn my creative glasses while out for a walk this morning! Though I have walked this same route dozens of times over the past months and had been aware of the bicycle secured to the wooden fence, I had never bothered to inspect it close up before now. I could see that the bike was in a pretty poor condition; the rusting chain was off and the chassis was becoming subsumed by the surrounding plant life. I considered that the bike would make an excellent subject for an infrared capture and voilà here we are. The images have been given a split tone effect in post production Lightroom and I’m rather pleased with my finished efforts. I can only hope that my creative glasses work as well when I’m photographing on the East Lothian coast next week!
